Activation Procedure

If your equipment is not being installed by a Bluestar technician then you will need to follow the activation procedure for your equipment.

Firstly ensure Bluestar Sales have a completed and signed service order. Activations cannot be processed without this. A completed order for hardware only is not sufficient. The initial billing period must also be settled.

Complete the relevant installation form fully, sign and fax back at least 48 hours (two working days) before installation. If you do not have access to fax then you can email a completed and signed document as an attachment to technical support. If you have any questions on how to complete the form, please ask.

Once your installation form is received it will be checked along with your account status. Technical support will then confirm by email a day time slot for installation and forward any additional hardware information you need to complete your installation.

Do not carry out any installation if you are installing for a third party, until you have received confirmation of time slot from technical support as you will not be able to go live outside of the specified time period.

Follow the equipment installation guide as provided by Bluestar to setup your outdoor equipment and connect and configure your indoor unit if required. If in any doubt as to whether or not your indoor unit requires further configuration, please contact technical support.

Call technical support with your site and equipment details. Signal strengths will be tested and slight adjustment of your dish may be necessary. Once everything looks ok we will confirm activation. Depending on your equipment, this will take 2-10 minutes for your system to update and go live.
